While not a single ULCS Megamax-class Container Ship of 18,000+ TEU capacity traverses the Suez Canal over the past 20+ weeks, sub-Panamax vessels of capacities up to 4,000 TEU are crossing the Canal in record numbers.
Since April, over 90 of these smaller Container Ships have been passing through the Suez Canal each month, when monthly counts before the Red Sea crisis measured at around 60 passages from these vessel sizes.
