This study assesses the economic impact associated with digitization and automation of marine port terminals in British Columbia and in three BC communities with the greatest economic dependence on this sector: Prince Rupert, Delta and Vancouver. This report solely focuses on the impact of automation on the container sector, as bulk shipping has yet to be effectively automated.
