Blank sailings set to rise in the rest of 2023

Blank sailing trends will persist due to oversupply and import demand uncertainty, affecting capacity and trade routes. 1. Ocean carriers continue to add more blank sailings on the Asia – North Europe and the Mediterranean route during the Chinese Golden week and beyond that for the whole of October. 2.  We anticipate a notable rise in blank sailings in the fourth quarter of 2023 on routes from Asia to North Europe and the Mediterranean. 3.
