Global cellular container ship fleet exceeds 6,500 vessels for the first time in history

The total count of fully cellular Container Ships recently surpassed 6,500 units and currently has a total capacity of over 31.7 Mteu.

At the same time, MSCCargo‘s fleet, which recently totalled over 900 vesels, continues growing and now represents 20.4% of the entire existing Container Ship fleet after exceeding 6.5 Mteu of total capacity.

Global-cellular- container-shipThird-place cmacgm‘s fleet has also expanded, currently reaching 670 vessels, as well as surpassing 3.9 Mteu of capacity.
