Post COVID-19, the major carriers are using the revenue generated from the booming container freight market to pay off debt and improve capital structures.
No major acquisitions have been carried out to date, with M&A activity mainly taking place in the logistics segment.
Although newbuilding activity rose in 2020, many of the orders were envis-aged before the pandemic.
