U.S. West Coast ports trade report – May

The port of Los Angeles saw a decrease of 24.7% for inbound loads in April and a fall of 4.7% from pre-pandemic April 2019. Outbound loads were down 11.7% year-over-year. The Port of Long Beach reported handling 313,444 inbound loads in April, which represents a 21.8% fall-off from a year earlier but just a 1.4% dip from the 317,883 inbound loads the port handled in April of pre-pandemic 2019.
