The Global Port Development Report (2022) was officially released by the Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI). According to the report, in 2022, the growth of seaborne trade demand and port throughput showed a significant decline. Although the global epidemic was effectively controlled, governments around the world ended large-scale fiscal and tax stimulus policies one after another, coupled with geopolitical conflicts, international trade sanctions, cross-border supply chain disruptions and other international events, the momentum of global economic growth gradually weakened, and the growth of global trade volume decreased significantly.
