Defining sustainability criteria for marine fuels

The marine fuels currently under consideration for shipping’s decarbonisation are primarily being evaluated in terms of price, availability and technical feasibility. However, a fourth dimension should be considered to avoid negative impacts across environmental, social, and socio-economic factors.
