Shipping market review: diverging trends across global shipping sectors

The global container rates index declined by 3.6% in Jan-22 to 238.34 points. This marks the second consecutive monthly decline, which last occurred back in Sep-2020. Despite the fall, the index is still 98.1% higher than the equivalent period last year.
