ONE, who is heavily investing in the intra-European market, claimed the sixth spot among Europe’s largest mainline operators. The Japanese carrier has increased its market share from just 1% or 11,500 TEU last year to 2.6% today, equal to over 30,000 TEU. While two years ago, ONE was ranked at 19th position of Europe’s largest operators, the carrier has now entered the Top 10, claiming the ninth spot.
With 17 container ships deployed, ONE has more than doubled its fleet size in just one year, while at the same time it has increased its average vessel size by more than 350 teu, from 1,450 TEU to 1,809 TEU.
The Singapore-headquartered carrier today operates nine intra-European services, compared to just three loops a year ago. The carrier launched eight new services in just one year, accounting for 29,600 TEU of deployed capacity.
Most notably, in late 2024, ONE introduced two new North Europe – East Med loops, jointly operated with Evergreen and Yang Ming. On these two loops alone, ONE operates five ships with a combined capacity of 16,000 TEU.
