West Coast Trade Report – May 2020

Inbound container trade through the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach teeter-tottered in April. The number of loaded TEUs discharged at LA were actually up by 2.6%, but down a dismal 20.2% across the road at Long Beach. Together, the nation’s largest maritime gateway handled 8.1% fewer loaded inbound TEUs than they had a year earlier. Source: Pacific Merchant Shipping Association, PMSA
